My profile
Why does my profile still show my old picture after changing it?
Most likely this has to do with the settings of your web browser. These settings make that pictures are stored in your local cache instead of downloading them from the website again. Under normal circumstances using the refresh menu via CNTRL-R, or clicking refresh/reload while keeping the SHIFT key pressed will do the trick. If this doesn’t work try the following: Internet Explorer: GO Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > Delete Files. Opera: GO Tools > Delete Private Data Mozilla Firefox: GO Tools > Options > Privacy > Cache > Clear
How can I edit my homepage/profile page?
Every user has his or her own homepage that can be accessed by every registered user. You can find your own homepage by following the MY PROFILE link in the top left corner on your screen. There you will find the tab 'About me' which is your homepage.
How can I see who visited my homepage?
Once logged in you can see who visited/requested your home page by following the link “Home” where you will find a box holding a link “See who requested my profile” If you follow this link you will see a list of the last fifteen users that accessed your profile pages. Once on this page you will find a roll out menu on the top of the page which provides the following options next to seeing the last 15 users that requested your profile:
  • Last 15 users whose profile I visited recently
  • Last 15 users who have visited my or my company’s homepage
  • Last 15 users whose website I visited recently
  • Last 15 users that requested my vCard
What is the purpose of the “Profile completed” indication?
With this indicator it is specified to what extent you completed all relevant details of your profile. For instance: if you only provided a valuation for one of the keywords, this will influence this completeness indicator. The same applies when you did not provide a personal homepage or did not complete your contact details. In order to make optimum use of the website and the VisualSpace we recommend you to provide your details as complete as possible.
What is the purpose of the activity meter?
The activity meter indicates the level of activity of a person within the network. It is based on that person’s activities within the last 30 days only. The percentage is based on amongst others, how often this person has logged in the last 30 days, how many mail someone has sent en the number of contact requests this person has made.
Finding people and contacting them
How do I find other registered members that fit my search criteria?
In order to contact and connect to other registered users, this VisualSpace is the best starting point. In VisualSpace a match is made through your own profile with other users that have similarities with your own profile. Other options are:
  • Use of the search menu within VisualSpace which can be found in the top left corner of the VisualSpace frame
  • Use the search option in the top left corner of your screen which enables you to search on different criteria
Why can I not access all details of another user?
As long as someone is not a confirmed contact, you can only access the general details of this person. Should you want to know more about this person you can send this person a request to connect (add this person as a contact) or send the person an email. Once this other person confirms your contact request, you can access all the details in this persons’ profile.
How can I send a request to connect?
When you find someone through VisualSpace you would like to contact, you can click on this persons name via VisualSpace which will lead you to a condensed profile with a contact button right under the photo. Clicking this button will lead to a message field in which you can specify why you would like to contact this person or why you would like this person to be one of your contacts. This message is subsequently sent to this user who can than decide whether or not to accept and confirm your contact request.
